Camp Lejeune, NC – Transportation & Operations Maintenance
The 2d Marine Division 75th Anniversary Parade commenced on time and was well represented. Our Base Motor Transport Section, under the direction of Mr. Wade LeMaire, was beyond reproach. Their expert abilities to place a 250-man hydraulic bleacher in the middle of downtown Jacksonville, and transport, stage, and retrieve the division's Tank and ABV through the narrow streets of the Riverwalk area were exceptional. From Food Service providing box lunches, to SES PMO security support, and passes provided, to PAO's media support, to the MCCS Staff, Stage Crew, and 30-foot mobile bleacher crew in setting up the requested equipment in a timely manner made the set-up seamless – all contributed to a successful event. Teamwork was most definitely the word of the day.

USCG Cape Cod, MA – Air Traffic Control
The Control Tower renovation that began in July of 2015 has finally reached completion. The renovation included OSHA safety of life issues, complete rewiring for electrical and many communications lines, removal of the generator from inside the tower and the construction of a standalone gas-fired generator beside the tower, removal of the antiquated hot water system, and installation of a state of the art glycol heating system, and a top to bottom fire suppression system. Congratulations on a job well done!!
Camp Lejeune, NC – Transportation & Operations Maintenance
The Camp Lejeune Team supported the 2016 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show by providing two sedans, twenty passenger vans, and nine busses. On April 28 and 29, PMI drivers also transported one M1A1Abrams Battle Tank (208,840 lbs) and one Assault Breacher Vehicle (203,620 lbs) from Camp Lejeune to MCAS Cherry Point where they were part of a static display for the air show. A few days later, drivers were dispatched to pick up the tank and assault vehicle and bring them back to Camp Lejeune using two 70-ton tank hauler trailers – not something you see on the road every day! It was slow and very careful going to safely maneuver the trailers between bases. Well done, Team!
