PMI Contributes Tremendously to Important AFMC Unit-Level Logistics Award!
PMI is extremely pleased to have supported the Air Force Materiel Command’s Logistics Readiness Award winner, the 78th Logistics Readiness Squadron for 2012. The skill and professionalism of our workforce helped make this award possible. The 78 LRS garnered the Daedalian Major General Warren R. Carter Logistics Effectiveness Award and PMI was recognized for our contributions towards earning this award!

In the past few months, Robins VOM has been racking up some positive recognition and awards. First, two of our employees received a very complimentary correspondence from the Vehicle Control Officer stating how much their help and support is appreciated. She ends her email stating, “These ladies, (The A+ Team) have excellent customer service skills.” The Vehicle Management Flight Chief added the ladies are a very talented team, devoted and dedicated to their job. “They truly represent the definitions of team and family… Bottom Line – The two ladies ROCK!!!”

PMI Westover ARB, MA BOS Employees Receive Major Recognition!
Westover ARB, MA received the Balchen/Post Award, which promotes better snow and ice control and recognizes outstanding performance by military snow and ice control personnel. Upon congratulating the PMI team for the well-deserved accolades, a Colonel stated, “I know it can seem thankless at times, but you are obviously a cut above the rest and it shows!”

PMI Robins Vehicle Management Team “Rocks the House” during LCAP Inspection!
The LCAP (Logistics Compliance Assessment Program) inspection is a short notice inspection that solely assesses logistics functions on an installation. PMI aces the inspection with ZERO deficiencies!

PMI’s Camp Lejeune, NC Motor Vehicle Operations and Maintenance Personnel Receive Recognition!
A satisfied customer writes, “Good afternoon … I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the excellent support we have received from the Base Motor Transport folks that have provided support to the Individual Issue Facility (IIF) by providing tractor trailer support. This past week the IIF was provided tractor trailer support covering a three (3″ day period and during that time the vehicle operators were always on time and conducted their selves in a very professional manner and the can do attitude by the entire organization was evident and appreciated. Please pass on to the employees and staff our appreciation.”

PMI Westover BOS Roads and Grounds Best in AFRC — TWO YEARS in a Row!
PMI at Westover was officially recognized by the Director and Deputy Director of Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). The Director and Deputy Director presented PMI’s Art Herring with the Balchem Post Award for the Best Snow Removal Operation in AFRC during an awards luncheon held at Westover Air Reserve Base on Thursday, March 22, 2012. During the presentation, the Director shook Art’s hand and thanked him for “a great job”.
This is the second year in a row that the PMI’s Roads and Grounds function at Westover has been selected as the best in Air Force Reserve Command.

A customer submitted an official comment form denoting the numerous times our support has been exceptional, despite changes to the times or requirements.

PMI Camp Lejeune Personnel “Making a Difference”
At Camp Lejeune there is a system called the Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE). The system allows our customers to submit comments as it pertains to the customer service provided by PMI employees. “In turn PMI decided to implement a “Making a Difference” award program. We felt a need to recognize those individuals who are making a difference at Camp Lejeune.Some of the key players are our instructors and drivers. Numerous comments were received denoting exceptional periods of instruction in the classroom and hands on training during the practical application portion of instruction. The emphasis is not only to ensure the personnel are learning the basics of the equipment, but more importantly that they are adhering to all safety rules and regulations while on the road. Thanks to Camp Lejeune and all of the PMI team “Making a Difference”.

Another satisfied customer submitted an ICE Comment form for our mechanics accomplishing an efficient repair and for being, “always very professional and pleasant to deal with”.

Wing Commander Praises PMI Tinker AFB, OK Supply Personnel
The 72 ABW/CC praises PMI’s efforts with a letter of appreciation for support during the Patriot Challenge exercise. Comments included, “… best mobility bag practice-it went smoothly with zero discrepancies! … supply team was flawless in execution.”

Westover ARB Holds Annual Air Show
The theme of this year’s was “A Salute to the Greatest Generation” and several World War II veterans were there to enjoy the show. Supporting this theme were several different Army and Air Force heritage displays. The Air Show featured aircraft from WWII, as well as several modern airplanes. Aircraft on the flight line included a B25 Mitchell bomber and a P51 Mustang fighter-bomber from WWII, a B52 bomber from the Cold War era, and an F15 Eagle fighter jet. More than 200,000 people attended this immensely popular two-day event.

The 439th Airlift Wing Commander, praised the “hard work needed to put on a first class show”. He declared it a “huge success!” He also praised PMI for “superior performance”, saying he truly appreciates the “can-do” attitude demonstrated by PMI employees.

PMI Westover BOS Personnel Contribute Immensely to the 439 AW Winning Numerous AFRC Awards!
The 439th Civil Engineer Squadron has been selected as the AFRC Outstanding Civil Engineer Unit for 2012 as well as four other command-wide awards! The awards are:

  • Outstanding Civil Engineer Unit Award
  • Maj Gen Del R. Eulberg Award, which recognizes the Air Force Civil Engineer Asset Management Flight that achieved the highest degree of excellence in asset management.
  • Maj Gen Robert C. Thompson Award, which recognizes the Air Force Civil Engineer Resources Flight that offers the most outstanding products and services to customers.
  • Brig Gen Archie S. Mayes Award, which recognizes the Air Force Civil Engineer Programs Flight that most excelled in providing facility products and services of exceptional quality to base customers.
  • Balchen/Post Award, which promotes better snow and ice control and recognizes outstanding performance by military snow and ice control personnel during the previous winter.

Homestead Puts on Major Air Show in November!
Hosting an estimated 300,000 visitors over a two-day period, Homestead ARB in southern Florida held the 2012 “Wings Over Homestead” Air Show on Nov 3rd and 4th. Lauded by local and base officials alike, the air show brought in an estimated $3.5 million to the local community.All in all, PMI ensured the security of our Commitment to Excellence by providing top-notch service to base populace, visiting aircrews, and the multitude of spectators to Homestead ARB.
